John is an Electrical Engineering PhD student at Purdue University, working in the field of Automatic Control. He draws on principles from robotics, engineering, and machine learning to create efficient solutions to modern problems.
His goal is to make assistive devices that improve people’s lives directly — through rehabilitation efforts, robotic assistance, or the automation of repetitive and time-consuming tasks.
Before graduate school, John attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.
